How's the porch construction, gardening and chick watching going in this horribly hot weather?

How is Smoky's hip? Any better?

Please let us know that you haven't fallen off the porch or melted in the heat or had the truck fall on you while you were working on it.

we're all still alive.

and struggling with both the heat and life.

no worries, just nothing postworthy in my life at the moment.

I'll post if I die, I promise...

@Butrflynet,
Yes, I know metro-Phoenix is often beyond hot. I feel bad for those who live there, of course.

Rock, I hope you're feeling a bit better today. and things will get easier. You have my sympathy.

FWIW, Hell to me is living anywhere temps are over 90 deg. Temp of 100 is double-hell and 110 deg is YGTBSM-level. It's over 90 here in sw FL , and I was just out shopping at a car parts store for items to wash my car myself. I can't afford car washes who charge $18 to wash and Rav 4 (SUV). It's a totally white Toyota RAV4 and has clear coat so I needed some guidance about how to di it right and easier due to my physical problems.

While outside I was discussing the process of washing this new-used car with my friend. While outside in the heat I almost passed out with dizzyness and it wasn't due to my being dehydrated. What the hell will happen tolerance wise when I go to wash and wax it? I'll have to do it early in the day, so it seems.

I hate heat too. When Noo Yawk gets hot, we get HUMIDITY. The temperature-humidity index makes me crazy. Ninety-seven degrees and with the humidity it feels like one hundred seventy-eight.

Speaking of heat, I gotta go out. It's only 88.

Keep cool, kids.

@Ragman,
the car itself needs to be cool if it's going to work right.

you can really do some bad things to hot paint...

I'm over to mr vw's for a bit. he has a big press. the final ugly noise on my truck is the driveshaft support bearing.

not a fun job, but much much easier with a press.

one day I'll have my own again...

it's 107 outside, and 101 in the shop.

this is why I don't hang a thermometer in my shop.

(I'll have to when I start painting color)

That's why I live in Scottsdale. We're often a degree cooler.

@Ticomaya,
what kind of night temps now? Ive been in the area around LAssen peak in arly summer when it was 110 in the day and 60 at night. If you could keep hydrated and ool in the day, it was really pleasant at night.
Then came August nd it was 115 at day and 90 at night
