and I got the power bill paid.

cost an extra 3 bucks to do it online, but they don't care who I am, and I don't have to wait on the phone for an hour...

I left a note for the shut-off guy for if he comes whilst I'm gone.

off and moving kinda slow, but in the right direction, I think...

I'm home.

went back to talk to the goats with my groceries in a bag.

they came right up to the gate thinking I had goat treats. they are almost not skittish now, unless I move suddenly. by next week, I think I can get away with petting them a little.

we'll see...

gotta find my funeral clothes and get them washed and pressed. (if I still have an iron, I'm not certain I do)

gonna leave mosta tomorrow open and see how I am after getting up early and doing the public appearance thing...

and figure out what I did with my dress shoes. I know they are in a box here somewheres...

black high tops make great dress shoes

I have expensive loafers in black and brown.

I rarely get to wear them. and I have more cowboy boots than the feed store if I cannot locate the dress shoes.

as the outsider, I gotta dress to impress. it's too hot for the wool overcoat, but I am still considering the fedora...

I can't remember a funeral without rain for a while.

bright and sunny but cool is the forecast...

called smoky to find out where he keeps his iron hid...

he's doing better, but his hip is giving him more pain. he hadda pee while I was there, and he stood and did it hisself. I told him I would hold him up so he dint fall, but I didn't wanna hold nothin' else...

he's not fuzzy anymore like he was for a while after the surgery. hopefully he can get off his horrible diet soon. that gal never did bring him in to have coffee like she said she would.

I was doing ok until D's daughter got up to speak. when she lost it, I started to. but we made it through. and I created a stir, it would seem...

both ministers found their way over to ask what I might be doing there. and D said lotsa folks asked her if she knew who the guy in the hat was. (she did)

her grandkids saved the day. there musta been 30 kids running around the senior center where the lunch buffet was held. and lotsa old ladies trying to entice me to eat something. I had a cuppa tea...

Grampa Jack even came over and called me by name and thanked me for coming while he shook my hand just like an old farmer does. very leathery and warm...

and it looks like rain.

woke up wonky, cold, and trying for a repeat of the other day with the funky dry heaves.

went straight to the cure from last time, and stumbled into smoky's and ran myself an incredibly hot slow bath...

and got back to find an unexpected and badly needed muse message.

feeling better now. gonna go slowly and see if I can get back up to speed.

lots to get done today...

crazy ass weather.

I decided the hell with it, I fired up a heater here in the computer nook...

and got out a thick hoodie. (nods to Trayvon) and a cuppa hot tea.

sugar and ND creamer, no honey budget right now...

2 out of three goats are likely to be out of the pen at any given time.

but I am getting better at convincing them to go back through their escape hole and come to eat some sweet feed...

(agnes the leader was still in, and they were not getting any)

now I'm havin' some noodles.

and then Ima go over and finish mr vw's concrete work.

it's a lovely cool day for curing vinyl...

over to mr vw's place.

he's not here...

that means I get to eat cashews unobserved. and I can play on my other computer...

and talk to his dogs. they know I'm family. they beg...

then Ima go get ready to mix mud.

concrete was more involved than we planned. but it's done.

and it looks fabulous.

and he can be on the pond tour this year...

I fed them to get them back in the pen, so they won't miss me before I get back.

the cats on the other hand...

oh well. they'll survive without canned food for one night. and stinky got fleas while on adventure, so he doesn't get to sleep with me until I can afford to get it fixed...

got my own dog tonight. SuzyQ decided to crash on the couch with me. gonna be a tight fit...

I'm watching a baseball game on my tv. (yes, my tv lives here, it became too big to move a long time ago)

my phone is still off.

I'm still not moving very well, but silky (little black manx) is on my lap, both dogs are asleep on the other couch, and I have the joint all to myself.

the concrete work on the pond looks excellent...

gonna head home. still wonky.

tomorrow is an adventure day...

and Ima be gone all day tomorrow.

I gotta schlump out in the dark and find someplace to put it.
