tail lights fixed. (put my old ones in...)

used window rubber acquired and installed.

weird dying at every stop on the way figured out. (I was almost outta gas, this became apparent when a mile from the salvage I ran out of gas)

still flaring shifts. transmission is weak. I'll work on building another one for when it gives up the ghost completely.

still no power to the center of the dash. got some schematics printed out and will go adventuring with my test light when I returneth home.

over to mr vw's just yet.

I better call and remind smoky that we are grilling tonight...

I got the grill fired up. still windy as a big dog.

gonna make him some bob fries and a can of baked beans.

it's too early for me, Ima turn around and use it as a smoker after a while and do my salmon. and a baked potato. I'll eat the rest of the beans when he's done, and we'll both be happy campers.

gotta go toss my salmon in some water so it's ready when I am...

no errors on the way back, but it still flares the 2-3 shift. a sure sign of impending doom...

cut up some canteloupe for dessert. he's feeling appreciated. so he gets grouchy. I hadda leave him alone to watch his rasslin'...

still got no tail lights. got turns and brakes now, but no tails.

gonna go sit down with a diagram and a test light and start mapping my dos and don'ts.

not gonna make salmon tonight. not inspired and needa work. I'll have the rest on my tuna salad and a baked tater and leave the salmon till I am in the mood.

got two loafs of bread last time I did the whole foods thing. and one of them was different from my normal. millet chia bread. dunno if it's the same chia as the pets, but I don't like it as well. it has seeds in it like the rudi's bread that I sorta liked until I discovered the udi's multigrain.

and I got a line on a new health food place out east by all the poseurs and millionaire types. supposed to have goat yogurt so I can try it prior to being a goat owner and promoter...

done for the night. boiled me up a shower. got the grit from the mini dust storm at the dalvage yard off'n me. I hadda go walk the yard to find my window rubber. it was nasty back there...

drinking me some pistachio pudding.

gonna be abed by one and try to be out the door prior to noon.

all this talk of college co-eds being gay has me thinking about what my sis told me last night...

(I sold her washer and dryer for her. she has left abusive-boy and he has move to south dakota. as close to hell as he could get, I suppose)

anyways, she was very freaked out, and thinking I would be as well. she sorta bumped into my first serious girlfriend the other day. who was with her girlfriend. who knew a non-lesbian friend of theirs...

kinda all makes sense to me. she was very catholic, and very odd emotionally. I still care about her, but we moved on to different things. (her mom was not my biggest fan)

I am still friendly with her little brother, he is one of my dealership parts hookups. I will have to discreetly inquire about her next time I bump into him.

I imagine her family took it about as gracefully as my sis.

stopped over to see my friend D. she was just leaving in a tangle of leashes and dogs. I left her with the corgi pup, and I walked joey. joey is old and grouchy and not very fond of the new puppy ruby. ruby loves everyone and everything right now. she's excited to be awake...

joey made it about 2 blocks, and then I hadda carry her. ruby on the other hand was still bouncing off the walls when we got back.

oh to have a shot of that puppy power. just a small one...

I already have a jungle inside the cabin, eagerly awaiting spring's true arrival so they can go back outside.

this hedge crackles and pops as it burns long and hot. and was delivered cut to length to the door of my shop. I just hadda move it inside. about half of it will need split, but Ima wait until I have the power splitter again. hedge is tough and bites back sometimes...

got a tire to fix tonight, and a rim to clean up. waiting for snowplow guy to drop off a new used exhaust manifold. that job will be a benjamin. I could use one soon. buying gas again is a bugger...

Gas prices suck. It is going to be hard to go see mom and dad the higher they rise. Makes me cry.
