Ima finish my washing up (that's doing the dishes for those who dint know) my kitchen is almost all cleaned up. whilst I was sickly, it got kinda gross.

but now I got energy and stamina, and I stay vertical after my evening meal. so now I can cook whatever I want, and I don't hafta clean stuff first.

I feel almost normal. almost...

gonna take a shower tonight, too. got my washtub almost hot now.

might go for a walk later if the temp doesn't fall off. they say 34 tonight, but I don't see it dropping that far. its still 50 something, and calm as can be.

go figger...

@Rockhead,
No tornados, no earthquakes, mild winters. What's not to like?

@roger,
120 degree summers, heatstroke, sand instead of grass.

I'm not a lizard...

@Rockhead,
You come on down to Farmington, boy. I'll show you lower summertime temps with lower humidity than you would ever believe. Winter? Yeah, maybe some snow some winters, and maybe below 10f for a few days in a row.

We might can even find you a warm rock to sun yourself on.

Course, Farmington isn't exactly Phoenix.

@roger,
I used to have to appear in Phoenix at least once a year, usually twice, back before I became a hermit.

twas never my favorite place to unload.

I like the higher elevations in New Mexico. some beautiful places to stay out that way...

Yep ... quite enjoying the fact that I've never had to look at a weather radar since I moved here to see what tornadoes are headed my direction.

... or mowed any grass, or shoveled snow, or checked the weather to see what the temperature was going to be tomorrow .... heaven!

(*Okay, "heaven" 9 months out of the year.)

Glad all is well there Rock. We are in for our own weather tonight. But I think it's only medium risk. So who knows...maybe, maybe not. But you are right - day time storms are much better than the night time ones.

@mismi,
lovely day today. worked outside in a sweatshirt all afternoon.

the truck is ready to go, but for the title paperwork. we will do it in the morning. then I can get tags. did the in$urance thing. ouchiewawa...

tomorrow night I can go see gram in my own truck. she's been used to musical vehicles for a while. I usually have something to drive, but it varies according to what I am working on. much better to have dedicated wheels on demand...

having some more thai noodles. gotta wait till everything comes out before I know what my food budget will be.

one step at a time...

no proper weather

<shudder>

I visited the desert once. What a mistake. It was too hot for me at the end of March.

@ehBeth,
the only cool thing about flying into Phoenix is seeing all of the little baseball diamonds scattered aboot.

(other than the golf courses, it's the only place with green grass...)

@Rockhead,
I've always noticed all the swimming pools every time I fly into Phoenix. Seems every other house has one.

@Ticomaya,
I probably blocked that out.

growing up with a pool, I detest everything about them.

I'd sooner have a boat...

but in the desert, there are no waves to ride.

just a lot of hot sand...

I couldn't agree more, Rocky. Never had a pool tho' but I can't understand how anyone would want to swim in a pool when there are lakes, rivers, creeks, even dugouts.

I have tended a pool for just about twenty years. I have never been in the water.

@Rockhead,
I have a hard time swimming in things that I can't see the bottom of these days. I used to swim in "swimming holes" all the time when I was a kid. Water skied in Dog River my hole life...gators and cotton mouths said to have been in there. Didn't bother me a bit - until I had kids. Then everything became a question of whether I should or shouldn't - I don't want to leave them motherless. Very Happy In other words...I am a bit skittish in my "old age".

The "bad weather" is not so bad here. Went north of us I think.
