@ehBeth,
evenin' betheh...

got my beast half in the shop. not gonna fit all the way in and be able to move. s'ok, it's not as cold tonight, and I have a fan blowing the heat at me...

first hole is 145#. we'll see how the other 7 post out.

local scrapper down and outter kid stopped by. on his bicycle in the dark. I saw a light flashing at me up the drive as I was working. moving closer. he was worried about getting shot at, I think...

I made him a sammich and some soup, and we chatted a bit. Ima try and help him out with getting a load brought in. no transportation is a bugger af a problem when you haul scrap for a living...

and life keeps getting harder out here on the cold plains...

@Rockhead,
Well crap.

I just wanted to tell you that I just jump started the Silhouette Van (the one you say looks like a dust buster). I am extremely proud of myself.

@mismi,
ok.

now why was it dead?...

I do this occasionally with Shewolf. I'm not sure I can stand the suspense of fixing yours long distance.

but I guess I'm up for it iff'n you are.

at least I don't gotta leave my comfy chair to do it...

let me grab another cuppa. I'm into my last boxxa tea, so I gotta get over to gram's market soonish.

@Rockhead,
Well - I haven't been driving it. But I need to sell it. But the battery ran down a while back and I kept being too scared to jump it off but now that I don't have a job I really need to sell it. It did something odd a few months ago and it scared me to drive it.

You don't need to tell me how to fix it. I just don't trust it anymore. It hasn't done it again since - but it freaked me out. All of this steam came pouring out of it - from under the dash board and from under the hood. The guage never showed it was running hot or anything. When I took it to the car place they told me it was going to cost $2300 to fix it. It's hardly worth that - the thing is 13 years old now. Crazy. So - I have the Mercury Sable ( another really sexy car) that runs like a top - for now. So I just need to sell my van. Though I love it so. And it drives like a dream. For real. Except for that steam thing.

@mismi,
cars, unlike dragons, do not blow steam as a natural occurrence...

don't be so afraid of it.

$2300 sounds like you popped a head gasket. mebbe. or you went to a shop that saw you coming...

does it lose water(antifreeze mix)?

@Rockhead,
Not that I know of. I can ask my Daddy. He knows. He says it's fine - if we would just drive it every once in a while it would be fine. I would much rather drive it than the mercury though. I don't care if it does look like a dust buster. I think I just didn't like driving it when I was working. I was having to go so far away from home - it kind of freaked me out to think about getting stuck on the side of I-65.

@mismi,
I been stuck on the side of I65.

don't do that...

top off all the fluids, and keep an eye on it.

if it explodes steam again, please document it and let me know ASAP. we can figure it out...

gonna go make me some soup now.

one step at a time...

One of you fell down and the other jump-started a dust-buster.

Makes me nervous to leave you two kids home alone.

(dance class last night - this is the third week of my new three classes a week schedule - I sleep like I've been clubbed - excellent)

@ehBeth,
That IS excellent. I wish I lived closer Beth. I would love to belly dance. I don't have anyone here that wants to...I don't suppose I should let that stop me though.

Thanks Rock. That is what I will do. Very Happy

enjoy your soup.

@mismi,
A friend came along for the first couple of classes, years ago. She didn't like it.

The women and girls (and occasional men) in class have truly become a new, extended family for me. It's a wonderful community.

@ehBeth,
It is amazing to me how you all can move those muscles - almost like your isolating them and moving just them. Wow. Tedious it seems. But still - I am mesmerized by it.

Yeah...maybe I can get a friend to try a couple out at first until I get comfortable walking in and looking like a complete imbecile in front of people I don't know.

@mismi,
I'd go with you, missy.

but you'd have more with that trouble than going alone, I'd guess...

@Rockhead,
Really? Tap dancing? That is so cool.

I got the professor to take ballroom dancing lessons with me. That was great big fun.

But he didn't want to stick with it. Got in the way of football.

@mismi,
I've learned, however, that there if is one thing fellas like less than dancing with their lady, it is having someone else dancing with their lady...

but they will happily let any yahoo change their oil.

go figure...

@Rockhead,
my favourite local male belly dancer - Valizan (aka Rob G)

he's dancing in a style called American Tribal Style - he is trained in Fat Chance Bellydance technique

my first instructor
I adore her
I would love to have such fluid hands - that's my biggest struggle

there's room for all of us in the A2k dance troupe!

ai wa!
