PCM system in porsche cayman

I bought a Porsche Cayman (2006) model last year with a built in mobile phone.
When i got the car home the phone never worked.
When i phoned the porsche garage i was told i needed software to get the phone to work.
Later i was told that this model did not have the software availlable for the phone to work is this true?
If the software is availlable how much is it and where can i get it from?
