I need to backup the contacts, sms, images, videos onto my computer. I do not trust those apps that backups to their server as first I do not know them and second I have heard cases of people's information (contacts & pictures) was being sold to illegal parties.

I would prefer softwares made by companies that have some reputation.

@Owarch,
If I found out that Lookout was selling my pics, I would OWN their little company in a lawsuit. I would love to know what your sources are and what specific companies are suspect.

@Owarch,
try the futuredial suite smartphone edition. It backups the sms, contacts images and video on the motorola droid. It also allows you to edit your contacts and photos on your computer.

They are quite reputable since they make phone backup software for Sprint. http://www.futuredial.com/en/snrms.html

on top of these, it also very wasy to use. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2F6OjNJElM[/ame]

@ssk,
I will not disclose my source Smile but we should always be weary of where we leave our sensitive information. Once things get out to the internet, there is not way to stop it.

I have just bought that futuredial software and I feel much safer with my stuff on my hard disk.

@Owarch,
it seems stranger that owarch, and ssk both have the same join date,(1-25-2010) the same date as these posts and these were there only posts. i dont know could be just me. i have a feeling ssk and owarch are one in the same and that there is no credibility to his claim and thats why he cant disclose is source. and this was just an attempt to sell futuredial.

new guy #1- anyone know of a safe backup program because everything your using is not safe!

new guy #2-just so happens i know of the only safe one there is, just so happens i have a link and a youtube video that has been removed.

new guy #1- WOW this is safe, i even paid for it. thanks!

but than you never know could just be my own paranoia

@cmacv,
Good catch C, we'll see how they respond. Lookout backs everything up on my phone, and, perhaps more importantly, so does Verizon.
