Digital Camera Repair??

Oooh, I dunno. Bumping your Q up to the top of the list.....

A colleague talked about a similar situation.
Kodak charges a minimum of $200 to look at a camera - and does repairs up to some unspecified limit within that amount. A new one of similar quality (to hers) would be $350. She's decided to save the extra $150 and just get a new one.

Tough call.

yep. Seems to me that when a digicam breaks, people just get new ones.

Can you notice in the camera or after downloading? (just trying to rule out anything else)
I know its tough enough to find some little local guy who repairs SLR's well....I would think that MOST people either wouldnt notice, wouldnt bother, would replace before fixing....havent gone that way as of yet so..I dont know.
Be interesting to find out though.

You can see the 4 pixels out 2 blue, one red, and one green. It's the 2 blue i see the most when the pictures are right

I put the lens cover on and take the picture - before tonight I didn't notice the red or green, I wonder if the colors can change.

I hate to think about getting a new camera - I'm not thinking about $200 into a $500. camera, I'd rather buy a different camera, but not very excited to spend the bucks I don't have - this is in my blood - the taking pictures - I mean.
