Dock that allows a protective case

The guy who sells them was pushing them on phandroid and he turned me off to this. He's selling them for the same price as a regular docking station, and he came off as brash when confronted w/ that. But we're getting closer.

A little piece of wood is not worth 25 dollars, just like that other cradle isn't woth 30. This is why I've stuck w/ the regular dock. How nice would it be if Verizon could just come out w/ the same dock, just w/ a wider cradle?

No doubt he is charging for the labor involved in crafting the wood. I've seen other people bend some metal and charge a lot for that too.
