What is the point of sky movies?

My better half put on sky movies over the christmas period 1st dec-1st feb but it's not a lot of use because when the movie starts you have to be there to put in your pin number otherwise you record a blank screen.

So if you are out you miss the movie.

If you cancel all restrictions on movies you are told "ALL RESTRICTIONS OFF" however you will still have to enter your pin number to watch movies unless they have a 12 year old watershed

Can there be a more pointless system than this?
