@ossobuco,
Roy Lichenstein: the comic/pop art painting;
Gregory Colbert: the sephia-toned background photograph of the elephant and falling man;
Bill Viola: the 3 blue/black/and white video stills.

@ossobuco,
It's a quip loosely meaning "don't think about it" or "twas nothing."

@ossobuco,
I used it as an exercise to learn Gimp, a free open source drawing program akin to Photoshop. It's got a lot of gidgets and unknown tools that I have yet to discover.

Just read this thread from the start. We'll have to let djjd know about the inaugural Anchors meeting. Now that I know he is also a member of this very select group!

It's been great fun playing with you folks. But OMG look at the time! Shocked

Now I must trot off now & do something useful! Before it's too late.

See you all later. Smile

Same to you, tsar.

Tell me, o cosmopolitan one, what exactly that mean, especially the "chance" bit?

We've been witch free since we established our nonprofit organization on the 3rd of January 2010. We have a long and proud history to boast about....

@tsarstepan,
I have of course just been my responsive belligerent self..

but I do like the elephant, and am glad to know the source.

Uh oh, I need to check out Gimp.

I've seen people pump Viola for a long time.
I suppose I should watch him.

@ossobuco,
I never used Adobe Photoshop so I can't tell you how they compare but it does get a great review at CNET.

And it's free to boot.

Edgar, I think all of this means you have a heart made of solid gold, which, no doubt, weighs you down.

Maybe just copper. My hands are like paddles, but that doesn't help. Check it out.

Is that u on the right or the left, Ed?

I was not a strong swimmer; then I strapped on fins,
a mask and a snorkel. Swimming under water,
propelled by fins, renders u a much stronger, faster swimmer.
Swimming under water is less stressful, less demanding.

Have u tried it, Ed ?

I did not consider that option, David. It's too late for it now. I'm no longer interested in swimming. I care for a pool that I have not swum in in 17 and a half years.

A few years ago, Mensa had its Annual Gathering in Disneyworld.

For $140, thay rented us S.C.U.B.A. equipment, including a wet suit,
with which some of us went swimming in the huge saltwater pool
of the Coral Reef Restaurant in EPCOT,
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/epcot/dining/coral-reef-restaurant/
one of whose walls stands about 8 or 10 feet high,
with glass windows on one side of which r large, beautiful,
colorful fish, sharks n large tortoises and on the other side
abide the culinary hedonists of the said restaurant.
Thay have more than 80 different species of tropical fish (not on the menu).

I love that restaurant (delicious seafood @ modest prices)
and for years, I enjoyed the beauty of the fish while I was dining.
I was very happy to be on the other side of the glass looking into the restaurant,
whose customers were taking our pictures and waving at us.

Its like, as long as u r under the surface of the water:
u can fly like Superman.

That was fun; I recommend it.
