I'm trying to figure out the title of a certain movie. It's an older movie maybe late '80s early "90s. it's where a boy and a girl go canoeing, along the way they stop to check out where the vikings used to live years ago. But then they get lost while canoeing, cant get back home, and have to survive in the cold wilderness. Along the way they end up killing a bear, the boy stores some of it's meat under a rock, and at the end of the movie it shows the two kids after they are rescued outside of a hospital in wheelchairs with really bad frostbite.
@dhendrix195,

.
This sentence implies that these two were rescued outside of a hospital and that their wheelchairs had really bad frost bite. Im sure thats not what you meant. Most wheelchairs dont get froastbite, I dont know about all of them though.
Im going outside to throw my sheep over the fence some hay
@dhendrix195,

Didn't you win the Gold metal in the ewe tossing event of the 1988 Olympics in Seoul? But they took away the medal because you tested positive for anabolic goats cheese?
@mac11,
Did the Vikings visit Alaska?!
I think that's a modern version of "Hansel and Gretel".

Yeah. I wondered the same thing.
Weren't the Vikings in Nova Scotia at some point - that can look like Alaska. They have bears there too. Maybe it was a Canadian production - perhaps a TV movie.
@Green Witch,
That's what I was thinking ... or even an English language film sited on Greenland.
@djjd62,
Walkabout is Australia and I can't remember anything about Vikings or canoeing....
@tsarstepan,
I think dadpad is a viking...
he will be around later, most Auzzies are still sleepy.
@Rockhead,
That would explain a lot!
Auzzies are always sleepy!
@djjd62,
I can see how you would get Australia confused with Alaska.
I mean both countries start with A.
@dadpad,
and end with A, very confusing
