@Stradee,
Thank you - silly - there's about two thousand miles between us and I'm way too old to do stuff like that. Didn't mean anything like that - whatever that was, I forget!! Well, I love you too.

Ta Da ! Tell me from what movie that paraphrase came from and WHO said it.......!!!!!!!!!!

Ta Da..........

ehBeth, you're going to have to get your other half involved in this one.....hehehehehe

Actually, it should be fairly easy - according to the phrasiing....... Oh, well - it's a good trivial question.

---------------------------------------------------------

Ok, I saw the pic -- great one ehBeth ---- aiighiit (thats the best I can do with spellignn. I still dare anyone to try to spell the word that rednecks say to their dogs to make them stop doing stuff............... It isn't spellable and it has many many many manifestations.

@Stradee,
Actually said it to John Huston the director - or, Humphrey Bogart, Walter Huston or Tim Holt.........

Good question........And, great answer.............

By the way, Bogart was the person who showed me how to use my shaving brush. I forgot the movie, but, in it he started to shave using a brush and I noticed how he did it........ Works really well - ta da.

@danon5,
Humprey Bogart was the actor, and i still don't know how they all managed the scene without laughing. Very funny line.

My fav Bogart movie (introducing Lauren Bacall) is "To Have And Have Not".

Her famous line as Marie Slim Browning was...

@Stradee,
Yeah, that's a good line.
"You know you don't have to act with me, Steve. You don't have to say anything, and you don't have to do anything. Not a thing. Oh, maybe just whistle. You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and blow."
Great scenes in some of those oldies.....

I pretty sure Bacall was the first to create the phrase "Rat Pack". Way back when they were meeting to form a union.

@danon5,
Was also where Bacall and Bogart met...so the line was priceless...plus they later married.

Didn't know it was Bacall invented the phrase. Learn something new every day.

sue, glad your day was good...weather cooperating also. Today a tad of rain, and cooling temps. Leaves are glowing orange on most of the trees, will be a few more weeks before the Liquid Ambers begin shining gold light at dusk.

Preparing football game watching food Very Happy

Have a good day all ~

@danon5,
Extrodinary how Bacall took control of the reins after Bogarts death...(they had two small children when Bogart passed at age 57) then after moving to NY and continuing her career, she married again (Jason Robards) and she gave birth to another son, but the marriage didn't last.

Still working today, she's led a remarkable life.

I luv old movies and wish i had collected more of them. My favorite is "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. Gene Tierney and Rex Harrison...( her daughter played by a very young Natilie Wood) The 1947 film is a classic.

Shot in black and white, the tones, music, and sets were amazing, imo.
