@danon5,
G'day all.

The clothesline isn't green, but the garden has gone berserko with the last couple of weeks of rain, so it is a green jungle out there. Set and I need to climb in there and clip everything back. It is crazy! I just did some pruning about 10 days back - there is NO evidence of it now.

@danon5,
Waiting for the predicted 'mild' summer...will be shoulder deep in rosemary and decorative hedges by then, but will remain stable on the hills without a gale blowing through the pines...can't afford to topple onto "B" lane with a whirling yrobi...yikes

Thought about working outside today...maybe later if the wind tones down a bit.

@Stradee,
"Cheers, Stradee" -- er, I mean "Gesundheit" Yeah, that's better - but best would be the two together - a tepid warm glass of honey rum and a good wish.

Best would be a nice glass of "Gluwein" - I'll try to remember the recipe = Really warm water about a third red wine - steeped with a stick of cinnamon and some --- oh, darn, here is the thing from an Austria recipe site.

Für den Glühweinsud:

•200 g Rotwein
•70 g Zucker
•Vanille
•Orangensaft
•Zimt
•Nelken
•Sternanis
•Zitrone

Here is the site --- I personally think Austrian food is the very best in Europe - sorry ehBeth.

Mmmmmmm --- I go kitchen now.

@ehBeth,
Bethie, it's HOT down here also. Way above the normal temps. I - and all the vegetation around here - can't believe what's happening to the planet. We are all in a state of confusion --- which is normal for me, but the trees and plants are talking about the confusious (as one of our good friends living in MS would say) She is such a sweet lady and has a constant habit of say the wrong words which usually sound close to the right word. We all can't help laughing and she understands. An example was one day years ago we were having Gravlox (sp) -- that salmon on bread appetiser. When a bit later she was saying how much she liked the Gridlocks. Those were fun days.

There's another lady I never met who had a speech problem. Words with S's sort of came out of the corners of her mouth in a kind of spitting sound. (Place your tongue against your middle teeth and blow some air out of your mouth --- that's the effect) Anyway, one day, my Patti and her friend were sitting in a restaurant and were ordering drinks to begin lunch. Her friend had brought this poor woman and Patti had never met. They began to talk and Patti - who has the greatest sense of humor in the world - began to look sideways at her friend. As they talked the lispy lady mentioned she had colitis (try saying that with your tongue stuck to your front teeth) then, as they ordered drinks Patti's friend gave her the dirtiest look when the lispy lady ordered a GRASSHOPPER. Try that one with your tongue stuck to your front teeth!!!! Anyway, they all got along well and Patti and I have been imitating her speech ever since.

I know ---- we're terrible, but we have fun. And, we don't bother or hurt anyones feelings - in front of them........ Grin

@Stradee,
Stradee, looks like you are the one with the liveable temps these days --- WOW, we have had some sizzling temps down here and ehBeth has had some record breakers also. At least that is what the NYC people say on Nat'l TV. Down here cowboys use one finger to wipe the sweat from their brow and flip it off their finger to the ground (((Oh, that's a scene from the classic "High Noon" with Gary Cooper))) But, it's true down here also.

Good cklikcing ((how's THAT for spelling Iz?)) all good Wildclickers.........

@danon5,
Livable, yes...but cold.

Windy and more rain today. Yardworks hit and miss.

Hang in there dan and Beth! Tomorrow there might be more snow.

Now there's a nice visual, dan. splat....LOL

Even with all the weather, mountains are sure pretty. Maybe we won't need to worry about forest fire season. Hope

@Stradee,
LOL here also. But all you have to do is watch the movie "High Noon" -- it's right there on screen. Splat!!!
By the way -- a bit more useless trivia = Gary Cooper grew up on his father's ranch in Montana and while a young kid he either fell off or was thrown off a horse and broke his hip. That is why, if you notice, he rides horses with his hips at an angle to the saddle. And, why he walks with a slight off gait. No one would notice though because of his tremendous screen personality.

Please send some cold air down here - please, please, please..............

@danon5,
no cold, or cool, air on offer here

still hot hot hot and humid - at least it's not hazy - encouraging that the air is cleaner than it used to be

10 p.m. here, and I just finished clipping some of the shrubs in my tiny front yard - too hot to go out til it's dark

I wear one of my giant hats when I venture off to the subway in the morning these days. I don't care if I look like a thumbtack Shocked

keeping up with my clicks

@danon5,
LOL, yep...but believe me, i get plenty of exercise even indoors.

Yesterday temps were in the 80's, sunshine, beautiful day.

Today? 70's and raining.

Squaw Valley in Tahoe is still open and people are skiing!

Outside chores will have to wait...again. I can't seem to find the time for cleaning the house, the yards, shopping, and the zillion other things needing to be done. I'll probably finish cleaning all the carpets in the Fall when we'll have summer weather.

Sooooooooo, i'm sitting with FB apps, catching up on gifting, and chatting on the telephone with a friend.

Have a good day all ~
