I am trying to find the name of an old black and white movie I saw when I was young all I remember is a young girl murders her friend and steals her shoes her mother burns them thats about it hope someone can help would love to watch it again

It doesn't ring a bell with me but I'm not an expert in
film noir which it seems to be a part of, genre wise.
