I've been thinking about the nature of advertisement, particularly television commercials.

It seems to me that people like to complain about them. In fact, it's kind of a selling point of DVRs and other things like TiVos. So then, am I strange because I kind of enjoy them?

Have commercials themselves become a part of the entertainment landscape? If you go to youtube right now, you can actually seek out a commercial. It doesn't have to find you.

Have we entered a world of "Advertainment?" Is this a bad thing? Perhaps a good thing?
