I just purchased a home with this system. The previous owner was not avilable to show me anything about it. I found a manual online telling me how to program the amount of salt in it, but that's it. Do I need to replace filters on it? Do I need to set the hardness level? I have a community well and our water is already salty, so should I use potassium chloride instead?
H2O man, help, please!

@Yelunatic,
unless you have an external filter to change,there are no filters in the system. the hardness should be already set, since it's already in the house. Not sure about the potassium,but I'd just use salt.
