What will you be eating? That's the real burning question when it comes to Thanksgiving. Yes?

Have a good day and are you thankful for anything on this one? I'm thinking it'd be worth celebrating it twice - turkey tomorrow would be good.

Have a great Thanksgiving, mushy! Are you cooking or spending the day

@Green Witch,
Is anybody having TOFURKEY or TOFOOSE?

I want to make fun of them. Imagine making a meal out of something that, no matter how you dick with it , will only ever taste just like the **** that it really is.
SAD ACTUALLY.

@CalamityJane,
oh thank you!

Well we already celebrated (canada's thanksgiving) and I spent it with the bf.
We both cooked and invited people, it was a great mix of traditional foods from both of us - I made turkey and tourtiere and he made some stuff I couldn't pronounce properly but it was delicious.

I do the holidays with mom now on the days before/after. It's worked out well.

Amongst the normal "fixin's" I grew up having a serving of steamed rice covered in turkey gravy. Believe me when I say it's a Thanksgiving staple for life.

So win.

@mushypancakes,
Thanks for the turkey day wishes!

I have the hardest time making turkey taste good as opposed to OK so I was thinking of going with ham but am giving it the old college try one more time (Whole Foods brined turkey).

Other than that,
- stuffing (made in muffin tins for individually crispy servings, idea from NYT)
- mashed sweet potatoes with thai red curry paste and coconut milk, ibid
- corn with mint, ibid
- cranberry sauce
- roasted regular taters
- cranberry nut bread (made yesterday)
- pumpkin pie (also made yesterday -- first time I made it from scratch, I wasn't expecting the filling to be LIQUID, firmed up nicely though)

I think that's it.

Happy Thanksgiving A2K people!

In exactly one half hour I will be heading outside for the neighborhood's 23rd Annual Turkey Bowl touch football game. I've been playing since I was a wee lad. And now that I'm a grown man, I prefer to toss little kids to the curb like stuffed animals, bloodying their faces as I march gloriously toward the end-zone, aka the sewer cover my boyhood friend Dan's old house.
