Last Night's Game - Yanks, Angels

How many times have the Yankees seen it since the second half of the season " A-Rod crushing a middle-of-the-plate fastball as if it was late-night batting practice. His home run was more like a missile, a line drive that cleared the wall in right field, tying the game at 3-3. The Angels didn't know it at the time, but they'd taken their last breath.

Phillies are a great World Series team. I think they would play the Yanks much tougher than the Dodgers would.

the angels are a fair-weather team.
they're playing satisfied, as if beating the sawx was their world series triumph...

They played the Yanks to extra innings twice, but last night ought to put an end to their hopes. 10 - 1.

Great game last night.

If it weren't for CC pitching game 7, I would not not put it past the Yanks to blow another ALCS. Anyway, here's hoping they do.

@edgarblythe,

if the yanks don't win tonight, they'd lose CC until game 3 of the series.
of course the goal is to get there first, and then worry about the starters later...

In the end, all the fundamentals that Soscia tried to instill in his Angels went out the window. Really. The Little League World champs would have had a shot.

@panzade,

when i saw vlad standing halfway between 1st & 2nd, staring like a deer caught in headlights as swisher ran in to catch the ball,
i knew they didn't have a chance...
