What would be a freakish dog breed pairing that would be too cool or too scary to fathom?

Dog breeds have been created by breeding combinations of different breeds for their individual genetic, physical, aesthetic, and physiological traits: Example: Labradoodle is a pup from a poodle and a Labrador retriever.

What new/nonexistent breed can you think of that would astound, cause spontaneous outbreaks of "awe that's too cute," and/or "dear lord have mercy that poor creature's soul? Of course a catchy new breed name is necessary to market your new monstrosity and/or cute-osity. Wink

Let me start by giving a couple of examples:
A pup from Yorkie terrier and a bull mastiff just might make a Bull Yorkstiff?

Or a poodle and a Rottweiller just might make a Rottwoodle.

Happy Pairing Everyone!

@tsarstepan,
Already some monstrous combinations exist, like dogs too large to be born without a cesarian section. This is beyond macabre for any sentient creature - wish you'd drop the subject if at all possible. Thanks.

@High Seas,
oh god high seas, it's just a game.

I think a combo that would be too cute to fathom would be a bichon frise and a pomeranian

@tsarstepan,
a dachshund and a rottweiler would bring a bunch of gnarly rotthunds....

I'll add this photo with a real life mix of corgi and ... what?

These are my friend's adopted dogs, Diego and Lola, and he only knows they're part corgi.

@djjd62,
This combination is not freakish but very cool and so beautiful.
I've had two - a malamute/golden retriever mix. You could name the breed 'Malagold' and name the dog Marigold (if it was a female which I prefer to male dogs).

fuzzy, cuddly, good tempered and silent

But you have to like larger dogs - my first golden retriever malamute mix grew to 100 pounds - (male) - my second topped out at 70 (female).

@chai2,
Look at that smile?! I so adore Bichon Frises! So soft! So punkish for their size!

Love the new designer name...
pomchon. If they were kept the Pomeranian size, I can imagine they would be the next fad breed carried around in the pocketbooks of the snot nosed heiresses.

@ossobuco,
Looks like Corgies and some kind of Jack Russel variant. No matter what they technically are they still look lovable and huggable! Very Happy

@CalamityJane,
Do you mean Burmese Mountain dog?

Nevermind. That's pretty confusing!

Either way ... so bloody adorable! Very Happy

@tsarstepan,
My friend first said they were a mix of corgi and chihuahua, to which I said, huh?
Then he talked to the former owners again and, no, they weren't sure.

I'm thinking beagle...

Unfortunately, Diego got a ribbon for chubbiest dog at the local county fair (or some event like that). Maybe it was for the Second Chubbiest. Not good for any dog, but especially for a corgi, with the potential back problems.

@ossobuco,
Make sense. I can see beagle in the head and coloring of the fur.

@tsarstepan,
No, Bernese Mountain dog - those are Swiss dogs and named after the
capital of Switzerland - Bern.

@CalamityJane,
The funny thing is... they look pretty much like the exact same breed. At least given a brief cursory google image glance.

I like his goatee and his white nose and chest patches, quite a handsome fellow.

@chai2,
How about a Bichon and a beagle?

Would make a Bichonagle! The punky fierceness of a Bichon Frise and the smelling and hunting capabilities of a beagle.

The color and tail of a beagle with a hybrid flat yet still fluffy beagle ears... [sigh] That would be a beautiful sight to see and hug. Very Happy
