It's a mystery to me.

Now I have to admit that back seat of Lady Diane's car is generally loaded with a pile of stuff for Goodwill, the dry cleaning she picked up last week, three hats for bad hair days, two sweaters and all the mail from the past month but sometime about a month ago when Osso got into the back seat she found a 6-pack of Shiners beer. I've never heard of Shiners beer and neither has Lady Diane or Osso. Yesterday I found the 6-pack of Shiners beer on the kitchen counter. Generally speaking we have Fat Tire beer and maybe some mexican beer like Dos XX's or Carta Blanca but Shiner's beer?
I might use a bottle of the Shiners beer today when I cook a pot roast.

Shiner Bock?

Much too bitter for my tastes.

Fat Tire hands down.

@dyslexia,
You only have five beers in that pack because you said I could take one to try. I did. I drank half of it, but that is my usual with even a small bottle of beer, which I don't drink often. The other half I tossed. It was bottled in Texas - I'm betting one of you bought it when EdgarB was coming to visit, not having found Lone Star at the local market.

I was gonna say, it's Texas beer. I never buy it, but I know of it. I have not had even a Lones Star in a few months. Maybe in a couple of months will try a few.

Shiner beer is made in Texas, and if you know of a better tasting dark beer than Shiner Bock let me know, because I'll buy it.

Shiner Hefeweizen is brewed with orange and lemon peels and honey. Hefeweizen is an unfiltered classic Bavarian Wheat beer and is the only beer brewed that is not pasteurized.

Quote:
Weissbier (or Weißbier), as it is called in German, refers to several different types of wheat beer. The term Hefeweizen refers to wheat beer in its traditional, unfiltered form. The term Kristallweizen (crystal wheat), or Kristall Weißbier (crystal white beer), refers to a wheat beer that is filtered to remove the yeast from suspension. Additionally, the filtration process removes wheat proteins present in the beer which contribute to its cloudy appearance.

Weissbier is available in a number of other stronger forms including; Dunkelweizen (dark wheat), and Weizenstarkbier (strong wheat beer), commonly referred to as Weizenbock. The dark wheat varieties typically have a much higher alcohol content than their lighter cousins.
Alternate terms for Hefeweizen include: Hefeweißbier, Weißbier, Hefeweiße, Dunkelweizen, Weizenbock, or Weizenstarkbier. A Weizenbock is not necessarily considered a Hefeweizen unless it is left unfiltered.

@DrewDad,
Yep, that's it. It tasted fine, delicious even - I'm just not much of a beer person.

I would never trust beer that mysteriously shows up in the back of my car. It would bug me that someone has been sitting back there and, possibly, using my car to commit crimes. But, hey, that's just me.

When I was 17 a few friends and I were walking past a car and we realized the keys were in it. We took the car, made copies of the key and drove around for a coouple of hours. We kept "stealing" the car for a few months until someone locked a six pack in the back seat and the owner found it the next day.

@dyslexia,
Try parking your car where you can keep an eye on it, over night. Better yet, keep it locked. Sure hope you don't stumble across a partially eaten Big Mac. They're pretty nasty after the grease congeals.
