Does that include homemade peanut butter cookies baked by the Alien Saucer Cookie God (not sold in stores)?

@edgarblythe,
Is there a type of peanut butter cookie you've impersonally tasted, perhaps with goobers having no human qualities?

@edgarblythe,
I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Eating one now, edgar. The bread, however, is cinnamon and raisin swirl and the peanut butter is au natural.

@edgarblythe,
Well...what can I say? You seem to have good taste in most other matters, though, edgar.

(A good peanut butter cookie is to die for.)

I eat organic peanut butter often. There is something about putting it in a cookie that ruins it for me.

@Letty,
Sounds delightfully blissful. What kind of jelly do you prefer on this potential masterpiece classic pb & j sandwhich?

@tsarstepan,
Recently, I have been buying pure, seedless boysenberry preserves. Can't find pure damson preserves any more.

@Letty,
Have you gotten a chance to try Bonne Maman, my favorite preserves. Its really easy to get here in New York City and its pretty modestly priced.
http://bonnemamanpreserves.com/

I love the cherry and strawberry preserves. They also have a decent damson plum preserver (though its the only time I tried that kind of preserves before so I can't compare). Great on peanut butter sandwiches.

Boysenberry is also delicious though its not so easily accessible in the stores I shop in. Ever try ligonberry preserves?

@tsarstepan,
Great minds and all that, tsarstepan, as my first thought was Bonne Maman.

I came up with this one, too, when I googled it.

I like the PC ones. They're almost like the ones we used to get at Francis Bakery in Picton when I was a kid. <swoon> Beef lard fried honey dip donuts and pb cookies. <sigh>

@tsarstepan,
We have local Pa Dutch preserves makers in our farmers markets who make preserves that have little or no sugar .(they add sweetness by cooking in more fruit). Most of them are pricey for our area but, when I was in P)hilly at the RR market, their prices are outrageous. I love the local no sugar Boysenberry, or apple butter, black raspberry, huickelberry, apricot, peach and RoseHip jellies.

EDGAR is an old fart . If he doesnt like peenut butter cookies, the with im.

I can't say I'm a big fan of peanut butter cookies myself. It's "okay", but I'd rather not.

I do eat peanut butter and jam sandwiches once in a while. Can't afford the organic stuff though. My pocketbook doesn't like that.

I've had homemade apple butter only once and its was well worth the effort. The effort of graciously accepting the gift of home made apple butter. MMMMmmm.
