David, you're really not being helpful. You maintain you're a lawyer, so tell emo how to go about it. Legal aid societies, lawyers who do pro bono work. ASPCA chapters, social workers, state DSSs, things like that. How to find them, how to contact them, what to say. Who might take the case. That's one of the reasons we're here--to try to help people. So help. Put your knowledge to work here.
Assigning me homework, pro bono.
Some lawyers do some of their work for free.
We call that " pro bono publico " meaning for the good of the public.
If I were in your position, I 'd call your local county bar association
for references to attorneys whose practices concentrated in
placement in foster care. If u get the addresses of some lawyers
who practice in the area of foster care, rather than call for an appointment,
u r probably better off just going and sitting in his waiting room.
Out of curiosity, he might take u in for an interview.
As to each lawyer: whether he 'll take your case
can go either way, depending on what he feels like at the moment.
If u can 't find an attorney with experise in foster care,
then ask for one with experience in matrimonial litigation.
