vonny, The dog on the left is a Staffordshire terrier, aka pit bull. The dog on the right is a bull terrier--a different breed.
They both look good in denim, don't they?
It might be different over there, but in the UK, Staff Bull Terriers are not the same as pit bulls.
Pit bull terriers are totally banned over here. They are a lot larger than a Staffie.
Here's a UK Staffie.....his head is about knee high on an average (human) male.
A pit bull can be a lot heavier and taller. I read somewhere that they are usually a Staffie/mastiff cross. Could be wrong.

From Wiki.....
The American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) is a dog breed.[2] It is a medium-sized, solidly-built, short-haired dog whose early ancestors came from the British Isles. A member of the molosser breed group, both the American Staffordshire Terrier and the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) were bred from the same lineage, but received different names from the two American kennel clubs; Staffordshire was the name given by the American Kennel Club (AKC), and American Pit Bull Terrier by the United Kennel Club (UKC). When compared with the English Staffordshire Bull Terrier (another breed within the type commonly called pit bulls), the American Pit Bull Terrier is larger by margins of 6–8 inches (15–20 cm) in height and 25–35 pounds (11–16 kg) in weight.
