It seems that Al Franken has been confirmed as the Senator from Minnesota.

@dyslexia,
The Minnesota Supreme Court has ruled unanimously against former Sen. Norm Coleman's request to overturn the recount of the election battle between Coleman and Al Franken: The 32 pages of the ruling >here<.

(The court said that Coleman and his attorneys failed to prove that a lower court or elected officials violated the constitutional guarantee of equal protection.
Additionally, the justices said that the lower court acted appropriately in including the infamous "lost ballots" in the final election tally.
This means that Franken, a Democrat, is still up 312 votes over Republican Coleman.)

He's good enough. He's smart enough. And, gosh... people like him!

((Now how many Democrats in the Senate does that make?))

@Region Philbis,
Isn't he dead? Oh no! I know -- that was after his divorce settlement when he WISHED that he was dead for not signing a pre-nuptial agreement with that gold-digger. Rolling Eyes

It's amazing how upset some assholes get when the candidate the people voted for gets seated. This applies to both libs and conservatives.

@Thomas,
Franken will now provide the needed vote to allow Obama to revoke the constitution and install a communist government in the USA.

At last. Now we can legally sell out to the terrorists and declare socialism our economic model. Plus, burn Bibles and abort all the unborn children.

I wonder if we could get him and Barney Frank to do opening monologues in their respective chambers whenever Congress is in session. Should give it a big ratings boost.

Seriously, I am glad it's over. I like Franken, but don't know enough about him to make any predictions here.
