@ehBeth,
(I feel someone should answer this & not leave the question hanging ... Wink )

Absolutely not!
And I don't imagine he would have gone in for belly dancing, either!

So what did you do/are you going to do to celebrate, Beth? Any special treats?

Leave it to the Goil from Canada to find a bakery three blocks from where I live that I didn't know about.

You are amazing, bethie, and I'm referring to more than just bakeries.

Enjoy your day. And I hope your birthday wish comes true.

@ehBeth,
i baked you a cake, but then it got stolen by some secret agents who wanted to give it to you before i could. So ive been hunting them down to try and get it back so if anyone hands you a cake be careful because they might have sabotaged it. the best way to find out if its been sabotaged is to just cram your hands into it, it's the only way to be sure and safe. Anyways, happy birthday, i need to get back to tracking them down anyways.

@Krumple,
Silk chiffon should, perhaps, go with a lemon chiffon cake ...

Really? What was the story?

The News Hour did a story about the mayor and the new "green" economic initiatives, and the luring of IBM (?) to Dubuque. I enjoyed it because of the shots of the town, with it's lovely neighborhoods climbing the hills by the river.

@msolga,
I did it - found3 beautiful pieces of silk chiffon at a thrift shop as well as a gorgeous chiffon sari - I am in scrumptious fabric heaven. The silk chiffon lengths are about 2' x 6 or 7' each, nice and floaty.

Planning the sleeves for Friday's costume. It is not going to be the least bit tasteful - it is going to be bold and folkloric - I can hardly wait!

@George,
You know it George. There will be 3/4 shimmies and cane twirling to beat the band. Well, not to actually beat the band, but cane twirling is serious fun!
