Today A2K met in London
And I'm pleased I was one of the crowd
We sat round a table and chatted
And noticed our laughs getting loud

At no time I felt like a stranger
Each one I would now call a friend
And like the best threads on A2K
I'm sure that these friendships won't end

Ouch!!! You sure know how to wound, edgar.

Last time I was in the States, I asked for a diet coke and the glass was almost entirely filled with ice.

We should get together, maybe between us we could get it right. Laughing

When I order a drink at the fountain, I specify little ice, if the cups are not very large. I hate paying all that money for a few sips.

I was in sore need of a beer
And ordered my drink at the fountain
But all that my glass held, I fear
Was ice that resembled a mountain

Diet Coke's a killer
Worse than beer by Miller
If you want to be healthy and strong
Eat your veggies; drink Miller all day long

Hear, HEAR... edgarblythe...

A Miller is plain tasty
A brew I really like
It makes your skin fair
And colors your hair
Tends to make me happy as a lark

(so it don't rhyme, so heck, Miller's dandy)

Miller Beer is new to me
Though you both seem to agree
It's better than lager
And beers that are darker
So I'll try some and then I will see

Miller ain't for sissies
Or shrinking little missies
Something I would not trade
For Colorado Kool Aide.

She used to drink up Cider
She liked a bit inside 'her
But then she got grumpy
When drinking up Scrumpy*
And nobody then could abide 'er

*Scrumpy is a very strong cider

Texas beer is Lone Star
Whether at home or in a bar
Maybe just driving in the car
I tell you you won't get far
Without a case of Lone Star

Once as I sat sad and dreary
Eyelids drooping, vision bleary
Salvation came. What can I say?

I'm thirsty and feel like a dose
I've nothing to drink that is close
My cupboard is bare
With no beer in there
And that's why I'm feeling morose

Hi Tarah, Lou, neologist, and Edgar...looks like I missed the party Smile

drinking too much can get you in trouble
if you have to get drunk, just ask for a double
drink it quick if you can
and then count to ten
then stand straight and try not to wobble
