That's a funny observation. I've heard it's true as well. But, I always assume that a man holding a child is the father and married. I may cootchie coo the baby, but I'd hardly look twice at the guy. Just me, I guess.

Interesting theory. Now that you mention it, I do usually assume the guy's married, but I tend to give him an opportunity to tell me otherwise. Or, rather, I did before I got me a man of my own...
