Is there a man's first name in Spain that is pronounced HA-veev? How is it spelled?
The only name I can think of that comes close is Hebrew, nonetheless used in Spain: Javiv..
@gollum,
Depending on how it is pronounced, it could also sound like Herve.
However, Hervé being a French name, it's really uncommon in Spain.
Actually, very rare compared to Javiv, which pronunciation is close to what Gollum is looking for..
@Francis,
How is Javiv pronounced? Does it have a "J" sound or an "H" sound?
@gollum,
The pronunciation of the J is pretty close of that of an "aspirate" H.
Like a R rolling in the back of the throat..
@gollum,
Javier. Pronounced HA Vee Air. Javi is the familiar or diminutive.
@roger,
I thought it could be it too..
@roger,
Just saw this, and yes, I thought it was Javi/Javier too. Xavier in english. I have a couple of irish american pals whose first names are Francis Xavier..
