I think it is other character defects that cause all of those bad things. I think Lust gets a bad rap. What exactly is wrong with
Quote:
1 obsolete a : PLEASURE, DELIGHT b : personal inclination : WISH

3 a : an intense longing : CRAVING b : ENTHUSIASM, EAGERNESS

even
Quote:
2 : usually intense or unbridled sexual desire : LASCIVIOUSNESS
is not necessarily bad if no one gets hurt.

Pleasure, Delight, Enthusiasm, Eagerness...These are bad things?

Excuse me your puritanism is showing.

Set, are you on a seven deadly sins kick? I've noticed a few posts....well, as deadly sins go, lust is pretty good, and easily taken into one's own hands, so to speak.

Yer a bad one, ye are, Cav . . . yes, i took a sudden notion to post seven threads last evening, and did so as fast as i could come up with seven sets of content of a similar style.

I'm very gratified by the response, i wasn't certain it would go over at all. But people had had fun with it, and have given serious consideration and reaponses . . .

Well, Mrs. cav lusts after Viggo Mortenson, but her passion is for me, and that is just fine by meself, as an addendum to the topic. I suppose that puts me on the side of acceptance and love, geez...I hate rooting for the good guys...

Lust is often easier than love.

Oh Bethie, that was just plain cheesey.

Passion is by far the most important aspect of a loving relationship, but lust--plain old unthinking lust--can be a spicey part without causing damage if the people involved are mature enough to know the difference.
This old broad thinks lust can be a good thing, once in awhile.

i consider 'lust' a 'must';
but as usual a definitional caveat;

Without lust, passion and love pale into the 'platonic'.

But, without restraint, they disappear entirely!
