Edgar, my heartfelt sympathies for your loss, and a loss of great talent to
all of us. Fortunately, he will live on through his illustrations and cartoons,
a small comfort to his loved ones.

@Letty,
Edgar, even though I know your brother's death wasn't unexpected, it's still a shock when it happens, isn't it?
My heartfelt condolences to his wife and your whole family.

What a great name for a brother... Sam.
Sounds like he lived up to that name, too.
I did a brief search for images and sites with his name and note that like you, he has left his mark on the world for future Sams.
Were you the older or younger brother, Edgar? I always wanted an older brother or sister when I was growing up. But, I've been quite satisfied with the little brother I have. I can't begin to imagine losing him. Big hugs and good memories to you and the friends and family.
I'm very sad to hear this, edgar. I hope your memories of times spent with Sam will bring you comfort in the coming days. In the meantime, be kind to yourself. You're in my thoughts and prayers. (((((HUG)))))

Major sympathies for your irreplaceable loss; a transition we all must face, alas.
