I have a movie on virtual drive S which is the same as my external r/w disc drive. I can't burn my music because drive S cannot be recognized.

@NickFun,
you know nick, I saw this thread earlier, but figured I'd catch grief for turning this into a dirty thing.

since you have opened the door, I will say that the best way I have found when finding a virtual drive mounted, and I didn't wish it to be, is to spray a garden hose full force on it, and shout at it to get off my lawn.

@nubianqween,
Your virtual drive should have control software that allows you to unmount the image and/or change the drive letter of the virtual drive.

@DrewDad,
Thanks for your reply.
I didn't quite explain my problem correctly. I have an external DVD r/rw drive. It is now drive G. The problem is that I somehow made an image of a movie which shows up on my computer as 'Friday the 13th (GSmile' When I look under 'Properties', the settings are as follows - Type : CD Drive; File system: UDF. This "G" drive is also listed as "Devices with Removable Storage." I can no longer use the external drive (G) to burn discs. Any Thoughts?

What process did you use to create the virtual disk? Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the external drive?
