@OGIONIK,
you should read the book "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman

it's an interesting take on the idea of old gods versus new gods

the basic premise of the novel is, as settlers came to the new world they brought there gods with them, but america soon became a land of new gods, the gods of technology, pushing the old gods away, now comes the time for the final stand, old against new

a pretty cool book

as for a mythology, i'm going turn to Mr. Gaiman again, his concept of the endless in his comic book series the sand man is just so cool

The Endless

it's a great series, 75 issues that form to make a single story when read together

one of my favourite quotes from Dream's sister Death

"When the first living thing existed, I was there, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave."

I'd pick McGeyver from that old TV show. I always wished the things he did could really be done.

@djjd62,
dj - American Gods is one of my favorite books.

Remember Mr. Ibis and Mr. Jackle?

That book really did give me a new way to look at god(s) Smile

@OGIONIK,
I would like the rainbow bridge to be true where all your past pets that had shared your life is waiting to join you to go over the bridge.

That would be very nice.

@OGIONIK,
I want a Genie in a bottle that can grant three wishes. A fairy godmother would be nice too or even the leprechaun with the pot of gold presuming that I could find it of course.

@djjd62,
Oh yeah I enjoyed Anansi Boys as well. Talk about "i see dead people"

I'd enjoy reading more about Mr. Wednesday, from AG

Gaimen writes childrens books as well, which seems to have a bit of a creep factor for me (but in a good way Laughing )

ok, going off the subject here for a moment, but that comment above reminded me of an old skit on SNL where Stephen King goes in his kids room and says "Time for a bedtime story" and the kids like "NO DADDY NO!!! DON'T TELL ME A STORY!!!"
