The video shows Romain Mesnil, 31, running in tourist hotspots including Montmartre and the River Seine with his pole as if he's about to vault, with a black square masking his modesty.
Mesnil, who won a silver medal at the 2007 World Championships in Japan, posted his video online and hopes that his crazy idea will scoop him a new Nike contract which was not renewed after it expired last year.
