Today I was more than a little proud.

A teacher came into my daughter's restaurant - she's the manager - and proceeded to tell her that he builds his class lessons around her and the way she conducts her business. (She lives in Denver, because the company for which she works paid her to relocate there. Today, when a new restaurant is preparing to open, the new staff trains under her supervision. A few months ago, the company flew her to Dallas, mainly to give her a very large trophy).

I was already proud of her, but that teacher made my day when he ticked off all the great reasons why she is such a perfect example.

It's apparent to me that she follows an example learned from her father.

I never liked Edgar, probably wouldn't like his daughter either. Perry is a smuck.

She does it all while raising four children. I am not slighting her husband, because he does well also.

@dyslexia,
Nah, we're both back to work. Gonna be awhile before we can retire and get out there. You hang on and take care of your health until we do, ya hear?

Seriously.

No, PDiddie. Move to Arizona. They are the ones with no daylight savings time.

I should acknowledge each poster by name and give a personal reply, but I am not my daughter. Suffice to say, I appreciate each and every one of you - except PDiddie and dys, that is.

@edgarblythe,
Between Bill Richardson and John McCain, it's no contest. I can put up with springing forward once a year much easier than I can retiring to be governed by a bunch of Republicans after living in Texas all my life.

@edgarblythe,
Edgar, that's terrific! Both she, and you and your wife, must be very proud. That's a wonderful accomplishment, indeed!

And in a sea of negative news these days, it's always nice to hear something positive and that something is working out in someone's life.

Two thumbs up!!
