I admit it. I love TV.

But TV has finally gone to far, I'm ready to hang up my remote.

Better yet:

Nothing good can come of this.

If those kids get paid for this I hope their moms save it for a good threapist.

@boomerang,
I can't imagine saying some of the things to those poor babies those moms are saying. Horrible.

Maybe they should save all of that money and put it in an account for their kids instead of doing all the pageants. Then they wouldn't have to worry about getting a scholarship.

There were several of these shows on before Little Miss Perfect.

Toddlers and Tiaras for one.

I don't get it.

@Bella Dea,
I did - and they have the nerve to say that if someone doesn't like the fact that they have their child in pageants they are probably ugly children? Isn't that what one of them said? Oh well...really, it probably did start out as something that was suppose to teach young girls deportment and manners - but got made into something else entirely.

I had to check one of these out one time (toddlers and tiaras) and there was one mom that I could understand. Her daughter loved it and they only did natural pageants. No big hair, tons of makeup, false eyelashes...none of that garbage. She didn't get pressured and the mom said that the day she said she didn't want to do it, they were done.

The other girls were being pushed and pushed and had to practice ALL THE TIME.

Not the way you should spend your childhood.

@Bella Dea,
I don't even like it when the boys baseball coaches call for extra practices....well...I am not a girly girl much anyway...I can't imagine wanting to froo froo them up that way. Way too much trouble!

Oh gawd. I've never heard of Toddlers and Tiaras.

I used to have pageant moms bring their daughters in for photos once in a while and they often said horrible mean things to their kid. It always broke my heart. Seeing them do it on television is so much worse.

That ad where the kids lipsync to their mother's comments is dead on and makes me wonder if the producers of this show know how awful it is and if these kids aren't really being exploited by more than their parents.

Awful, just plain awful. After Jon Benet Ramsey, one would have thought
that these pageants are a thing of the past.

Luckily, my daughter always was a tomboy - still is!

@CalamityJane,
Oh my, I just watched the little clip of wetv.com and I don't want to say anything, but these pageant mothers were all obese and not attractive at all, yet they
dollied up their kids like barbies. They spend 300 Dollars on a tiny bathing suit and talk about how expensive these pageants are and they're only doing it so
the kid can have a decent college fund later on. Shocked
Whom are they kidding? If they took the money to the bank instead of buying
ridiculously expensive outfits, they would be way ahead of themselves.

I guess, most of these mothers are mentally challenged too! How else can it be?

@mismi,
Actually "normal" moms don't want to whore out their daughters.

I wonder how many of the moms are living out their fantasies through their
daughters. Reminds me a bit of some of the dads I had to deal with when I was
coaching youth sports.
