you are walking down a hallway and you come to two doors, each with a guard. You know you want to go through one of the doors, but you don't know which. Both guards know which door you should go through. You know one of the guards always tells the truth and the other always lies, but you don't know which is which. You can only ask one guard one question. What question do you ask?
@eleni10,
Ask the guard what the other guard would answer.
"If I asked this other guy which door I should go through, what would his answer be?"
Then take the other door.
@eleni10,
i would ask is this the door ! and then if it isn't go in the other one duh
@eleni10,
and say if u dont tell the truth your mother will die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@eleni10,
If you ask the guard telling the truth which door would the other guard tell me to take, he will tell you wrong door. If you ask the liar what door will the truthful guard tell you to take he will lie and tell you wrong door as well. therefore you ask that question to any of the guards and do the opposite!....
@eleni10,
That riddle is not original. It is from a movie in the '80's called the labyrinth with David Bowie playing the antagonist..... If you watched the movie, you can easily see the answer anyways so why ask the question..
@alguyton,
And it was in Dr. Who in the 60's.
Try to keep up.
