We shouted our special cheers reserved for the VIPs who had just arrived. (By 'special cheer', I mean that we have come up with a special way to cheer the VIPs.)
I cannot think of a word to replace 'shouted', which I don't is correctly used.
Could some member/s please help me by telling me the correct word to use?
Many thanks.
@tanguatlay,
One can 'give' a cheer...
We gave the newly arrived VIPs our special cheers which were specially created for them.
or just use 'cheer' as a verb...
We cheered the VIPs in the special way we had created.
We gave voice to our special cheers reserved for the VIPs who had just arrived.
Was there one cheer for all the VIPs or a speciail cheer for each?
if only one cheer for all use singular form of cheer
if a separate cheer for each VIP use plural form
@tanguatlay,
The arriving VIP's were greeted with tumultuous applause.
asif in unison the cameras went cliche cliche cliche
@solipsister,
