Hey everybody!

So, what are we talking about here?

Impala is advocating honest showmanship in the stripper profession. DJJD was looking forward to your opinion in particular, Gargamel.

@Gargamel,
They are talking about these guys in the pic being sexy. I'm talking about them being a bunch of ponces and not even slightly sexy. When all you have is a pose you are getting into centrefold mode and grossly ill-equipt.

They can't even pout. Just a sheepish grin.

Can you imagine what their bathrooms must look like? Coloured bottles everywhere. And stainless steel barbells in the space between the dressing table and the bed.

A stripper who doesn't take her clothes off is like a...Clydesdale who doesn't **** during the Circus Parade.

But how naive must the author of this thread be to think a stripper strips because of a fondness for disrobing in front of others? Let's face it: most strippers are working hard to pay off debt accrued while pursuing their stripper degrees. Some of these ladies have spent years at elite universities seeking MFAs and even PhDs in Nude Arts, buried in, say, Hegelian Pole Theory.

That said, if she wants me to stuff some Washingtons in her crack, she's going to need to take it all off.

About seven or eight posts ago, it would seem.

@Foxfyre,
I've no idea on this as a generality, but I've a friend who used to be a chippendale dancer and he is very cheerfully gay,which I can't imagine him being quiet about. I don't want to ask him for a generality by email, when we haven't written for a couple of years, but if I see him again I'll ask. Not that it matters anyway.

@ossobuco,
Yes, I don't care either, but for a long time now I've been sharing the general assumption that the Chippendale Dancers were mostly or all gay. But the link to the website I posted has one of their openly gay members saying that isn't the case. I just thought that interesting.

Their overwhelming success, however, suggests that we women are as capable of enjoying pure sensuality as much as the guys are. And I'm not aware that the Chippendale's are targeting gay audiences with their talents. But I suggest that we women are perhaps more discriminating than the guys seem to be. We expect great physical attributes and/or more showmanship than just getting naked. Smile

(And I don't care what anybody says. Those Chippendale guys are gorgeous and they don't have to take it all off for me to appreciate that.)

I think it is more of an excuse to defuse pent up frustrations.

But Foxy dear- guys are, as Ms Greer said, like carrots- cheap and plentiful and easily cooked. Girls are adored. Their naked beauty both fascinates and frightens us. Surely men are not like that to you?

Hmmm. Hard to say. Frightening in a controlled enviroment? Naw. But to assume women don't enjoy looking as much as guys do? Nope, can't say that I agree with that.

@Foxfyre,
I will say, however, that women tend to be turned on by somewhat different criteria than guys seem to be. At least that's my perception since I've never been a guy.

Criteria?
We have criteria?

@George,
Well, yes. The way it has been explained to me is that the way a woman turns a man on is to show up preferably naked and carrying beer.

I don't think it would work with most women for a guy to show up naked even if he was carrying beer.

I could be wrong of course.

Beer's optional.

@spendius,
forgive me, but what a bunch of bollocks. think what you will...but those are your projections and illustrative of your mind, not of the state of womankind.

fox, to my amazement...well, not amazement, but it was interesting finding - most strippers in male gay bars (at least in Boston) are straight... don't know if it's easier for them to work that way or what is the reason.
don't know how it's with chip n'dales, would not be surprised if many or most were gay... ultimately it's a mixed bag.

@Foxfyre,
beer's optional, naked is optional, one of the sexiest girls i've known slouched around in pajama pants and oversized shirts, the fact that her body was not openly displayed only enhanced how sexy she was

@dagmaraka,
No doubt. I've sometimes wondered if a lot of female strippers were lesbian and therefore not emotionally impacted by being oogled by men? Who knows? I think nobody here really thinks any of it makes a whits bit of difference other than just in a general curiosity sort of way. (Also it's a slow news day. Smile)
