If planning a trip to the outer banks or if you are a property owner with little or no damage please help the local economy, and shop and eat out often. local businesses are suffering as much as the individual families especially the small mom and pop shops.

stainedglassboats--
Do you live on the Banks?
It has been a frequent vacation choice for us of late. We dearly love it, and are heartbroken about the damage.

Can you tell us what was lost?

We stayed at Waves. How is Rodanthe? Were many homes, businesses lost at Hatteras? Dirty Dick's Crab Shack near Avon? What's the poop? How are the lighthouses?

Is the island open for visitors? What of Ocracoke? The harbors?
