next weekend we'll be taking a short "winterbreak" .
taking the morning train to toronto - 2 hours to downtown toronto - no traffic or snow and ice hassles .
for friday night we have tickets for "the sound of music" at the princess of wales theatre" and ehbeth and set will be joining us (set has a very fine voice !) .
saturday night we'll be seeing and hearing mozart's "the magic flute" (concert staging) at roy thompson hall .
we'll be staying at the sheraton centre hotel - 10 minutes from the railway station and across from toronto's theatre district .
the eaton centre (toronto's huge shopping/restaurant complex) is adjacent to the hotel - it's connected to the hotel by the underground "path system" - we can wander through many of toronto's stores without having to set a foot outside and there is no need to put on a wintercoat (and sweating in the stores) .
sunday at noon we'll be taking the train back and will be home in the early afternoon .
should be a fun weekend and should recharge our batteries .
