The Israeli / Palastinian conflict of recent days is really disturbing - primarily because it seriously smacks of apartheid and its not being reported as such. I was in the Carribean over Christmas and saw CNN's coverage of it. I don't live in the States and I haven't been aware of American media for over 20 years. What I saw on CNN was ridiculous. It was so one sided and narrowly viewed that it seemed like Israeli propoganda. Not to mention news took a back seat to 'commentary'.
