Isreal as an apartheid state

The Israeli / Palastinian conflict of recent days is really disturbing - primarily because it seriously smacks of apartheid and its not being reported as such. I was in the Carribean over Christmas and saw CNN's coverage of it. I don't live in the States and I haven't been aware of American media for over 20 years. What I saw on CNN was ridiculous. It was so one sided and narrowly viewed that it seemed like Israeli propoganda. Not to mention news took a back seat to 'commentary'.

Searching the net I found these two pieces that may interest the community:
A very interesting, well researched appraisal of land ownership laws in Isreal by a seasoned and well versed reporter: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2006/feb/06/southafrica.israel

A fascinating video of a drive through the occupied territories in Israel. The speaker is an ex-Israeli soldier and he gives tours to Israelis in the occupied territories to help them understand what it happening in their own country: http://vimeo.com/2726126
