Funky stuff!
Right now, I'm waiting for the plumber so I'm just kind of following along. And no, "what needs to be fixed in jes's house?" is not a question ....
... but it involves a drop ceiling, a hole, a leaky pipe and some fun cleanup yesterday. Our plumber loves us. We're gonna put braces on his kids' teeth and send 'em to college, I have no doubt. :-D

The sounds of arc welding have been coming from my kitchen all morning. It's, well, different from how things usually are LOL

Jespah, you are lucky that your plumber can fix things before it does a lot of damage. Asherman wasn't so lucky. The entire first floor of his house was flooded from a water softener leak and the interiors had to be gutted and replaced, including all furnishings, art, books, etc.
Water leaks are a nightmare. You have our sympathy.

Oy vey. Poor Asherman! That stinks! Fortunately, this one was pretty small - just the one pipe under the bathtub, and the kitchen ceiling took the hit. But that's okay; it was icky old acoustical tile that we wanted to get rid of anyway. So now we'll get rid of it sooner.

I think we're getting used to it. Still, it was interesting moving the stuff from the counter all around the dining room. I'm trying to clear space as I'm now concerned that the ceiling may not be done before Thanksgiving, which we're hosting this year (fortunately, only my folks are coming up, so it's not like I need to clear space for 20 people or anything like that).
And Mr. Plumber Man is coming back later today. We're getting to know him well.

Q:
Show me what you'd BUY, be specific, if you wanted to be eligible to win an all expense paid trip to watch a bunch of movies with a bunch of film geeks for four days in January, in the Beehive State.
BBB:
I'd buy the A: The Slamdance Festival Pass costs for $350.00 or the $99 Slamdance special to the 2004 Sundance Film Festival in Utah.
You could pay a $50 submission fee to send your screenplay here. "The winning entry will receive a Gateway Laptop Computer or a trip to the 2004 Sundance Film Festival."

Well, mac, not what I was looking for although I thought hard about accepting your answer.... hmm. But nah!
(sorry )
This is something tangible you would purchase and own.
But you are all definitely on the right track! Yes, your thinking in order...

Why we're waiting
While we're waiting for someone to figure out the correct answer, does anyone know the answer to the following?
Which poet-playwright-singer-dancer-activist was also the first black female fare collector for the Muni railway?

Here's my question (hope it's not too hard):
In 1998, Clinton is supposed to have signed into law the "Iraq Liberation Act".......I can't find confirmation of this anywhere, can you?????
