@Francis,
He asked about my sexual organs: to answer would have made my answer gender obvious. I am obviously hysterical in your eyes.

@Green Witch,
Personally I was only trying to connect with you: you know find a common interest we could talk about. I admire your honesty. I personally have found I'm hopeless at guessing this stuff. Women are meant to have greater Emotional intelligence I've heard. I don't have any at all.

@Fountofwisdom,
Sglass is a nice lady I had the pleasure to have lunch with in SF, FOW.

But you are right if you take the word in its etymological sense..

@ossobuco,
I failed to ask a question. Will think about it.

@ossobuco,
That is a mighty even handed reply: I admire you greatly for not judging words in the light of my gender. Or my gender in the light of my words. Sadky my name isn't Roxanne, though she sounds like a wonderful person.

Female. Too happy that there is confusion -- females like this, males don't. (Generally speaking of course.)

@Francis,
An intelligent reply. I understand the classical greek. But also think the times have moved on, if I might dare to contradict you.

@sozobe,
Better not ask a woman to explain things then. They'll just confuse the issue.

@Fountofwisdom,
Not to be cheeky as you Brits say, why should I care? I enjoy not knowing.

@Fountofwisdom,
Harrumph.

Of the people who have clearly obscured gender on purpose for a bit, most of the ones I know of have been female and articulate (there's that word again) analytic thinkers who didn't want to get stacked in a that's-a-woman room, or wanted to test it.

On Roxxxanne, interesting person whom I hope is doing well.

@wandeljw,
Why do only German women find Americans stupid and not the men. Angela Merkel will obviously lead Geram away from America then. I like to see women in charge, but not that one. I dont know much about German Politics, but I was a big fan of Petra Kelly. And Kraftwerk

@Ragman,
Ragman: that is so cool. I dig your drift. I'm on your side. Who cares as long as we all party.

When the guessing game is over I'm sure we can do that.

No way Roxxxane, but maybe Osso was picking up on the sexual contradictions like I did. FYI FOW, Roxxxane is a trans-gender person who comes here to argue politics and report on her latest operation or lover.

@Walter Hinteler,
I remember the names, especially Petra Kelly, will have to re-look.

I remember my husband and I on a fast train, forget which one, in a compartment with two german young women, I'm guessing in their mid twenties. Little did they guess I understood some German, at least back then.

Ah, well, it's the way of the world.
