.... that's what has jumped in my head and made its home there in the past few days. Stuck in my brain like a bad song.

During 9/11 it was Rubble & Debris (which sounded to me like Tom & Jerry, Barnes & Noble or Laurel & Hardy... in fact we named our fish Debris and a mouse Rubble)...

What gets stuck in your head?

@dagmaraka,
Every time I see Merry Andrew on a thread, I think "Slo-Latvian".
OK, not every time.

Ohhh, it all falls into place now. The Hamas, The Papas. Thanks for clarifying.

Many things get stuck in my head. But then when they leave, they seemingly leave for good. I can't think of anything right now.

Simon and Garfunkel's Baby Driver just won't leave my brain; I'm going to have to resort to selective memory burning voodoo.

@ossobuco,
there was also Mubarak Hosni, Egyptian president.

my dad worked him into a lullaby. Instead of "angel fall asleep" - "anjelik usni" he worked in Mubarak "hnusny" (disgusting) -- now that's getting totally lost in translation but it was very funny to us kids. in the end it was something along the lines of: if you don't fall asleep, Disgusting Mubarak will eat you up....... still sing it in my head often to this day.

...anyway.

@dagmaraka,
When I took physiological psych it was back in the dark ages, 1961. Much has been learned about the brain and its pathways since then, but I haven't read it all. Thus I still think of these things as nerve-net-reticuli (networks) that just keep being there and show up when the synapse/entry, or something, is breached.

Sometimes I like the old connections/rete, and so my memory burning voodoo will have to be very specific.
