What's the strangest thing you've bought on Amazon?

Amazon is either the best deal you've ever found or the worst.

Well, ok sometimes it's the same as any other place but that just washes....

Okay, this is a little off-topic because I would never BUY this, but the best weird thing I've seen on Amazon is the Tuscan Whole Milk, 1 gal. People have had a lot of fun leaving fanciful reviews about the possible reasons for buying a gallon of milk online...it's worth skimming (ha!) a few: http://www.amazon.com/review/product/B00032G1S0

here's a funny one:
Quote:
Online ordering of extremely perishable food is going to TAKE OFF when people realize how much fun and convenient the idea is. I got my milk just yesterday. Here are all the details!

Tuscan Whole Milk, 1 Gallon, 128 fl oz
$3.99 - Quantity: 1 - In Stock
Condition: new
Sold by: Gristedes Supermarkets of New York

I was considering buying used milk from a trusted Amazon reseller but decided against it. So you'll notice the condition of MY milk was "New." I deserve this luxury.

Here's the best part.

Order Summary
Shipping & Handling: $26.25

Why go to my local store and pay $2.99 for a galon of milk when I can have it overnight delivered for 10 times that price?

@cyphercat,
...and sorry if everyone's heard about the milk before! it was a big thing like two years ago; it's SO totally yesterday, i know... but I still laugh about those reviews Smile

@cyphercat,
I guess I'm out of the loop, Cyper. I never saw it before and it's very funny. Thanks.

@Bohne,
Heely's were pretty popular about hmmmm 10 - 15 years ago. Don't see them much anymore.

I've bought a few antique children's books. One book, in particular, was published in 1887. It has stories, poems, and some educational pieces about historical characters.

The illustrations are fantastic!
