Spybot , AdAware, and PestPatrol can spot, and remove, many but not all of them. In effect, loggers are Trojans, and are insidious. They do have a big following among divorce-oriented folks, though.
If you have a webcam, control of it can be hijacked if your security is weak. If you don't have the hardware, you've got no problem. If you do have a webcam and are paranoid, keep its lenscover closed when you're not actually using it, and plug in your microphone only when needed. Even paranoids can have real enemies.
