How come unanswered questions have replies?

I just noticed that a lot of the threads the Unanswered Questions http://able2know.org/unanswered/ have answers (or at least replies) did something change while I wasn't paying attention?

@hingehead,
I think this has been discussed in the blog (click at page bottom) or maybe it was elsewhere. Anyway, there is a distinction between simple questions and threads started with expectations of discussion.

The ones that are simple questions that can be quickly answered are, I gather, set for later evaporation, but the catch is, I gather, that the questioner has to mark the question as answered. Which many don't. I think I read this is being worked on.

For some reason, perhaps related to my genetic propensity for using dots at the end of sentences, I've never actually asked a question I wouldn't want discussion on. Thus, I don't know the trick about giving a little red figure (is that a ribbon?) for "best answer to question."

@hingehead,
I still need to put up messaging to explain the sorts/filters on grids, but Rockhead is right.

On the old site there was an unanswered topics grid, that showed all topics with no replies.

Here we show only questions, and that aren't marked answered. There's some missing pieces to what we are trying to do with it, but the idea is to track what still needs an answer, and not what hasn't been replied to.

@hingehead,
Give it to Rock, he had the answer first, and plus the a2k questions give me a disproportionate rosettes.

(you can change the selected answer or take it away at any time)
