I have had my GMC Sonoma for 6 years now. Couple nights ago, I was driving on the freeway and the lights started flickering. What is causing that and what should I do?

Hmm, I used to have a mustang that had that problem. Two possibilities:

One, that you have a faulty dimmer switch and it's causing the whole thing to flicker.

Two, that you have a slight short in your wiring system related to it.

Is the flickering in response to road noise, ie bumps, or is it just intermittent and persistent? If it isn't motion based, it's more likely a faulty dimmer switch, which would be convenient as they aren't expensive.

Cheers and GL
