i really am resorting to just slapping a turbo on a z31 n/a engine, w/stock boost, should i redo the internals or not? cause i want a turboed z31 but not alot of funds to work with.

@myers1987,
There's probably a cam that will give you better better lift and duration than stock, but I don't know which would be perfect. If Racer Brown is still around, you might see if he has a suggeston on a website. I do recall setting up a Brown cam that degreed in much better than the legendary TRW component. Other valve train components should work fine as is, unless you are going for serious performance at high rpm. If you go that route, you might want a stiffer set of springs to keep from floating the valves.

I've never worked with turbo, by the way.

@myers1987,
I'm totally out of touch on prices. For a guideline, on a new car with turbocharger, the turbocharger cost is a very significant percentage of the engine cost.

I really wouldn't go there. Right now, I would find the modifications to exhaust and intake systems daunting.
